The Carpenter's Way program is a direct reflection of the values stated
in our mission statement in which we set forth our commitment to "instructing and training in the areas of faith, family, education and work." Every child deserves a home, a family and a chance. The Carpenter's Way provides these and more. Our program is based on a Christian, professional approach in providing services to our children. The Carpenter's Way program provides the best opportunity for total development of the child including spiritual, physical, emotional and intellectual development.
At The Carpenter's Way, the emphasis is definitely on family. Every effort is made to give the children who come into our care more than the basic necessities of clothing, food and shelter but, most importantly, the love and understanding that can only be found in a stable and supportive family.
The kids at The Carpenter's Way are just like other kids. They like the same things all kids like -- swimming with friends on hot summer days, eating hot dogs at the ballpark, going fishing, playing basketball and getting hugs from people who care about them.
The only difference between the kids at The Carpenter's Way and other kids is that their original families and friends are no longer available to them due to death, incarceration, abuse, abandonment or neglect. Therefore, they need new families and friends like us and like you who care enough to give generously of their time, talents and resources to see that these kids get a second chance.
