The admissions process usually begins with a telephone call from a caseworker inquiring about
a vacancy. The caseworker then completes a FAX referral form and includes a recent psychological, educational and health information for evaluation. If the child meets The Carpenter's Way admissions profile, an interview is scheduled. If the interview is successful, a date is set for the child and the completed paperwork to be brought to the home.

A word about admissions...The admission criterion for The Carpenter's Way can be found under "Admissions Forms." It is important to realize that the admission criterion are guidelines. We make every effort in the admission process to best serve the needs of the child. In keeping with our concern for and support of families, sibling groups are given priority in admissions. We make every effort to keep brothers together. At one time we had 20 children, 17 of which were in sibling groups.

The Carpenter's Way is a non-profit organization which operates on community support.  All gifts are tax-deductable.
