Being a resource family for Joseph has been both a privilege and a blessing. We first became a resource family as a way to share the blessings that God had poured into our lives, however, after bringing Joseph into our family, we have realized that God has so many more blessings in store if we are simply obedient when He calls us. God did not bless our family so that we would shut the doors and not share. Jesus spoke of and modeled a life of loving others. As a resource family for Joseph, we have begun to discover the true blessings available through loving others. We also have discovered
that no matter what their background, boys want to be accepted, they want the thrill of adventure, and they want to be loved.

Resource Family

Chris asked me one day why our family became a resource family. My truthful answer was "because we fell in love with you." Chris and our son Andrew played soccer together and through that relationship, God opened a door for us to become a Carpenter's Way resource family. Chris has opened our eyes to many new experiences and I believe we have done the same for him. We also have been able to spend special times with the Jones' family, who are a resource family for Carlton, Chris' younger brother. This allows us to enjoy the fellowship of other Christians and to let the boys have a good example of families doing normal every day things together.
